Joel Pilka

Bio

Joel Pilka is an Optimist.

An entrepreneur, recruiter, speaker, and family man who encourages everyone he meets to actually make time in their life for their greatness.

To make sure you pay close attention to what really moves you in life, and then actually spend time doing it. 

Joel Says, “Most people are blown away with how life changes once you spend time on the passions in your life. Even if you are exhausted and somewhat jaded, it is always a 100% positive outcome.”

Thoughts on Positivity in his life:

Listen.

When you speak, Provide value.

Live life being your true self.  

Practice being ‘fully present’ in at least 1 daily activity.

In 2006 Joel was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Fortunately, it was caught early and doctors successfully removed it. Yet, even with an eventual successful treatment, Joel was living with fear and internalizing everything. He lost sight of where his life was headed and what he wanted his reality to be. He lived a life without a thought to his future; drinking too much and caring too little.

Then, after one more alcohol-infused Saturday night, he woke up in a bathtub full of shattered glass…..but without a scratch.

He knew he was just pushing the limits of what bad things could & definitely would happen if he didn’t wake up and take back control of his life.

He knew in his heart that his life was meant for so much more, and he began to change his actions and complete path in life.

Joel will tell you first hand it’s not easy, especially in the beginning, but starting with one small goal, and changing one small habit at a time, he started his journey of self-improvement and is now laser-beam-focused on living up to his true potential, and crushing past his fears, daily.

Today, Joel knows that life is about fully connecting with the ones we love and that you too can drastically change your life if you would just slow down, spend time with your family, listen to your heart and pay attention to how you talk to yourself, and what you say.

If you can practice appreciating what you already have in life, while consistently taking small steps towards living up to your true potential, it always leads to a purer joy and a much happier life. 

Joel has discovered:

 

  • You don’t necessarily have to reach an insane depth of despair before making a change. But you need to be fully present and paying attention. 
  • Your true level of happiness in this life will be 100% determined by the smallest actions you take each day to connect more deeply with your family and the ones you love the most in this world; because it’s in those life-long relationships is where your heart will find its fullest strength and most genuine, heartfelt comfort during your darkest times in life.
  • You do not have to live in a constant anxious state – you can manage your anxiety and you can fully own your fears…..If I can do it anyone can.
  • The decision to be happy is in your hands – it is a choice, and many small decisions over time will instill more happiness within you if you give yourself a chance and actually try.

Joel now brings his story of self-discovery and compassion to the stage. His goal is to learn more about you and share with you the tools to break free from fears and create a happier existence.

Amy Dix

Bio

Amy Dix is an international speaker, international best-selling author and avid entrepreneur who inspires others to live life on a different level, rooted in positivity and pure happiness.

After her mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, Amy searched to find the silver lining within the tragic circumstances. She knew the end of her mom’s life was near, and she became more and more heartbroken as this reality set in.

To make the distressing situation even worse, Amy’s mom was quickly losing the ability to communicate. Amy realized she would not have any more meaningful conversations with her mom or receive last words of wisdom. Amy felt like she had so many questions for her mom that would go unanswered.

Amy wasn’t ready to give up. She discovered #lipsticktherapy – a single social media hashtag that changed everything. Through her creation, posts and communications within #lipsticktherapy, Amy learned how to bring humor and hope to a grim situation. Amy’s e-book, “Wear Pink Lipstick: How to Be Positive and Stay Strong in Life’s Most Difficult Times” has been downloaded in three countries and has impacted hundreds. Soon Amy will release her second book, “SEVEN MORE DAYS: A Simple, Positive, More Authentic Way of Living.” Amy now brings her message to the stage, challenging the chaos in today’s world and creating a gripping experience of emotion and happiness.
